Emma’s work explores themes of joy and contentment, drawing inspiration from the comforting element and balance of both home and nature. She captures a sense of ease by painting the familiar spaces and scenes that keep her grounded.

Her creative process involves building up layers, beginning with watered down acrylics and finishing with oil paints to create a contrast in texture and sheen. Visible brushstrokes and imperfect forms reflect the playful energy she feels when creating. Emma approaches painting with joy and the intention that this energy is reflected in the final work.
